Making history a collective experience.

The inventor of the automobile has created a destination unlike any other in the tourist industry. Experience with friends the unique automotive history on display at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart – includes the team coach of the 1974 World Cup winners and many other highlights.

Getting there.

True to Gottlieb Daimler’s dictum about mobility “on land, on water and in the air”, the Mercedes-Benz Museum can be reached conveniently using any means of transport. Groups arriving by coach can also be dropped off at the Museum’s on-site turning loop. Several coach parking bays are available free of charge adjacent to the Museum premises. A separate group ticket counter ensures queuing times are kept to a minimum.

Exhibition.

Let yourself be captivated by the past, present and future of mobility. Explore our automotive icons on nine levels and 16,500 square metres of floor space in chronologically arranged Legend rooms or themed Collection rooms that span every era of recent history. Both tours spiral downwards in a double helix to a common destination: the innovations of the future displayed in the Fascination of Technology area. The permanent exhibition and changing special displays ensure there is always something new to discover.

Guided tours.

Guided tours are available in different languages. Naturally the tours give special consideration to groups involving guests with limited mobility. For guests wishing to explore the Museum without taking part in a guided tour, free audio guides are available in different languages. The audio guide offers a choice of topics, including a special profile for children.

Museum Shop.

Take a piece of the Mercedes-Benz legend home with you. The Museum Shop covers an area of 500 square metres and stocks over 3,000 articles and gift ideas – including a wide range of model cars, Mercedes-Benz Collection items and many typical regional products. The shop is also open for browsing during regular Sunday opening hours.

Gastronomy.

From light snacks to exclusive fine dining, the range of dishes served up by our gastronomic facilities goes well beyond what one would generally expect to find in a museum. Taste the exclusive Museum cake, for example, or indulge yourself before and after your visit with regional and seasonal cuisine.
