This Mercedes-Benz 814 was delivered to the customer in 1992 as a dropsider and converted into a recovery truck in 1996. By October 2004 it had done 230,000 miles of service for ADAC, the German automobile association, and provided breakdown, towing and accident assistance in 14,000 cases. The Mercedes-Benz 814 was a representative of the light truck generation introduced in 1984 and succeeded by the Atego in 1997.
