In 2019, Mercedes-Benz has taken the move of becoming the first vehicle manufacturer to invest in an esports team. The involvement in SK Gaming manifests the brand’s commitment to professional gaming as the spearhead of a global youth culture. The year 2020 marks the next milestone in the field of sports sponsoring: the Stuttgart-based luxury brand is set to become the exclusive automotive partner of all global League of Legends Esports events of Riot Games – the Mid-Season Invitational, Worlds and the All-Star Event.
