Mobility of the future today.

On Saturday and Sunday, 14 and 15 September 2019, starting at 11 a.m., technical innovations and sustainable traffic concepts for the mobility of the future will be presented around the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. These include offers such as car sharing, electric vehicles and mobility concepts for the future.

The topic of “Urban Mobility”.

There will be a round table discussion on Saturday in which Winfried Kretschmann (Minister President of Baden-Württemberg), Ola Källenius (Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG), Florian Reuter (Managing Director of Volocopter GmbH) and Thomas Strobl (Minister for Internal Affairs, Digitalisation and Migration) will discuss the topic of “Urban Mobility”.

The highlight of the two-day event will be a flight by the air taxi Volocopter. With its shareholding in Volocopter GmbH, Daimler supports the development of innovative mobility products and services.

Adventure world for children and youth.

Tangible and accessible.

The event is an initiative within the framework of a research project of the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences to investigate the acceptance of aviation taxis in society. The state of Baden-Württemberg will be presenting numerous exhibits and information stands, where projects from the “Strategiedialog Automobilwirtschaft Baden-Württemberg” can be experienced.

Shuttle and at the same time test drive with the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro

On 14 September 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. a Mercedes-Benz eCitaro is driving locally emission-free and almost noiseless from train station Bad Cannstatt to the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The bus shuttle is free of charge and runs every 15 minutes between the following stations:

  • Neckarpark
  • NeckarPark (stadium)
  • Fritz-Walter-way
  • Mercedes-Benz world

SSB Flex

SSB Flex will take you from the train station Bad Cannstatt to the Mercedes-Benz Museum free of charge on 14 and 15 September 2019 between 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Book your rides as usual via the SSB Flex app, which also provides you with convenient travel information and tickets for your onward journey with the Stuttgart public transport from Bad Cannstatt.

From 18:00 clock is SSB Flex as usual in the entire urban area of Stuttgart in use.

General information

Please note: The site of the Mercedes-Benz Museum is not a legal vacuum. The event was planned together with the security authorities in charge and will be accompanied by the police, fire and medical services. In addition, security personnel will be on duty for safety at the event and to ensure that it runs smoothly.

The following is also banned:

  • Expressing racist, xenophobic or extreme right-wing views, declaring these through gestures or distributing them via relevant material;
  • lighting fires, carrying, burning or letting off easily flammable substances, pyrotechnic items (flares, rockets or other fireworks);
  • selling goods or tickets commercially without the permission of the operator or the event organiser, distributing printed materials and other items of all kinds, carrying advertising media of any kind and carrying out collections;

Arrival and parking

Please note that the car park of the Mercedes-Benz Museum will be closed on Saturday and Sunday (14. and 15.09.2019). Please switch to the surrounding multi-storey car parks.

As an alternative, you can use the designated parking options in Neckar Park. Please follow the applicable signs.

People with restricted mobility

The site is largely barrier-free and easily reachable for people with restricted mobility.

Entry checks / Security

The entry checks may take longer due to people and bag screening. Please bear with us. We kindly ask you to be patient and to refrain from pushing. The checks are necessary in order to ensure a safe time at the event.

Rucksacks and bags

Bags and rucksacks up to DIN A 4 in size are allowed. Anything bigger is not allowed.

Rucksacks and bags can be handed in at the Mercedes-Benz Museum.

Visitors are not permitted to carry the following items:

  • Weapons, gas spray cans, pressurised gas cylinders, corrosive or colouring substances or other items which by their nature can be used to injure people or damage property or used as a missile,
  • bottles, cups, jugs or tins which are made of breakable, splintering or particularly hard material,
  • bulky items. In particular, these include items which by their nature represent a danger to the health of other visitors or items which could become dangerous through misuse if suspected in concrete cases, such as signs, flags, ladders, stools, folding chairs, crates,
  • flags or signs with incitements which constitute a criminal offence or transgress standards of public decency,
  • racist, xenophobic or extreme right-wing propaganda material,
  • liquids and beverages from outside the premises in any type of packaging are not permitted on festival grounds,

In case of an emergency

In case of an emergency, please call +49 (0) 711 17 112 immediately or ask someone nearby to make the emergency call. Alternatively, you can also go to a security or member of staff.

Please answer the following questions from the emergency call center, our security forces or paramedics:

  • Where is the patient?
  • What happened?
  • How many people are injured?
  • Which injuries?
  • Who is calling?
  • Waiting for questions!

While waiting for the arrival of the paramedics, the following applies:

  • First, pay attention to your safety.
  • Give first aid: Calm down and look after the patient.
  • If necessary, ask other people to help you.
  • If possible, place the patient in a stable lateral position.

Lost and found

Lost property can be handed in and collected at the cash desk in the main entrance of the Mercedes-Benz Museum.

1 Die angegebenen Werte wurden nach dem vorgeschriebenen Messverfahren ermittelt. Es handelt sich um die „NEFZ-CO₂-Werte“ i. S. v. Art. 2 Nr. 1 Durchführungsverordnung (EU) 2017/1153. Die Kraftstoffverbrauchswerte wurden auf Basis dieser Werte errechnet. Der Stromverbrauch wurde auf der Grundlage der VO 692/2008/EG ermittelt. Weitere Informationen zum offiziellen Kraftstoffverbrauch und den offiziellen spezifischen CO₂-Emissionen neuer Personenkraftwagen können dem „Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO₂-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch aller neuen Personenkraftwagenmodelle“ entnommen werden, der an allen Verkaufsstellen und bei der Deutschen Automobil Treuhand GmbH unter www.dat.de unentgeltlich erhältlich ist.

4 Angaben zu Kraftstoffverbrauch, Stromverbrauch und CO₂-Emissionen sind vorläufig und wurden vom Technischen Dienst für das Zertifizierungsverfahren nach Maßgabe des WLTP-Prüfverfahrens ermittelt und in NEFZ-Werte korreliert. Eine EG-Typgenehmigung und Konformitätsbescheinigung mit amtlichen Werten liegen noch nicht vor. Abweichungen zwischen den Angaben und den amtlichen Werten sind möglich.

6 Stromverbrauch und Reichweite wurden auf der Grundlage der VO 692/2008/EG ermittelt. Stromverbrauch und Reichweite sind abhängig von der Fahrzeugkonfiguration.
