Park & Ride
There are Park & Ride carparks all around Stuttgart. These have connections to the city rail network, so that visitors can reach the Mercedes-Benz Museum without difficulty within 20 to 40 minutes, depending on location. Park & Ride carparks outside the environmental zone are situated at the train stations in Plochingen, Waiblingen, Winnenden, Backnang, Bietigheim-Bissingen, Leonberg, Goldberg, Herrenberg, Gärtringen and Leinfelden. The carparks are signed with train station, S-Bahn or P+R symbols. The parking fee is 1,00 - 2,00 € per day.
Multibusses
Minibuses and buses over 2.00 metres in height may use the bus parking spaces behind the Mercedes-Benz Center.
Parking facilities
In the museum’s car park or in the P4 multistory car park. Parking fees: 2,00 € per hour for the first, second and third hour; 2,50 € per hour from the fourth hour. Present your parking ticket when shopping in our museum shops or visiting our restaurants and you will be granted one hour of free parking. Please use either the museum multi-storey car park or the adjacent multi-storey car park P4. (The P4 multi-storey car park does not have any parking spaces for disabled persons nor does it have lifts).
Parking with classic cars
We are happy to welcome all visitors travelling in a classic car. You are more than welcome to park on the mound at the main entrance to the museum. This also applies to those travelling with a disability in a vehicle higher than 2.00 metres.
Parking for visitors with a disability
Parking spaces for visitors with a disability is available in the museum's multi-storey car park. You will find these on the ground floor beside the parking ticket machines and glass door. If you use a wheelchair, we kindly ask you to follow the signs leading you to the lift.
Arrival by car
Arriving by car from Karlsruhe
Follow the A8 to the junction for Stuttgart and take the exit for Vaihingen. Take the A831, followed by the B14 towards “Stuttgart-Zentrum” and then the B10/B14. Follow the signs for “NeckarPark”.
Arriving by car from Ulm
Follow the A8 until the exit for Esslingen-Zentrum. Join the B313 and then take the B10 towards Stuttgart. Follow the signs for “NeckarPark”.
Arriving by car from Heilbronn
Follow the A81 until the exit for Zuffenhausen, then take the B10 towards “Stuttgart-Zentrum” and follow the signs for “NeckarPark” in the direction of Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt/Esslingen.
Arrival by train
Enjoy your journey from the beginning. Travel by public transportations directly to the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The German Railway travel information knows the train, trams and bus schedules. From Stuttgart ‘Hauptbahnhof’ (main station) take the S-Bahn (urban railway) line S1 heading for Kirchheim (Teck) to ‘Neckarpark (Mercedes-Benz)’ then follow the guidance system.
Arrival by bicycle
The Neckartalradweg cycle path runs right past the museum. Leave the path at the mooring point for “Mercedes-Benz Welt/NeckarPark” and follow the signs for “Mercedes-Benz Museum/Neckar-Park”.

Arrival by bus
Bus number 56 runs from Bad Cannstatt station to the “Mercedes-Benz Welt” stop. You can reach Bad Cannstatt station on the S-Bahn lines S1, S2 and S3 and on regional and Regional-Express trains.
Arrival by coach
Groups arriving by coach can also be dropped off at the Museum’s on-site turning loop. Several coach parking bays are available free of charge adjacent to the Museum premises.
Charging electric vehicles
Cars: There are nine free Type 2 electric charging points in the museum car park. You can pay a deposit to borrow a suitable charging cable from the information point in the atrium (Level 1).
E-bikes: There are also nine free lockers with electric charging points available.
Do I have to be vaccinated, recovered or tested for my visit (3G rule)?
From Sunday, 03 April 2022, there will no longer be any restrictions on access to the museum. The current Corona Ordinance of the State of Baden-Württemberg can be found here.

Do I need a booked appointment for my visit?
No, the museum can be visited without making an appointment. However, we highly recommend that you book your tickets in advance using our online ticketing service.
Is the museum shop open?
Yes, the museum shop is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The online store is open around the clock.
What catering is available?
Bertha's Restaurant is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 12.00 - 16.00, the café bar on Level 1 offers food and beverages.
The Deli is closed for the time being.

Bags and backpacks in the exhibition
Only bags and backpacks up to a maximum size of A4 are permitted in the exhibition. You are welcome to leave your larger backpacks and suitcases in the cloakroom and lockers. The cloakroom and lockers are free of charge.
Mercedes-Benz ID card
Free admission applies to: Employees of Mercedes Benz AG, Mercedes Benz Group AG, Mobility AG, subsidiaries and Daimler Truck AG on presentation of an employee ID card. Please note: It is not possible to pay in the shop with the employee ID card.
Please bring your employee ID card with you as proof of your visit to the museum.
Free audio guides
The free audio guides are available in 8 different languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. You can choose from 4 profiles for the German and English audio guides: basic fundamentals, contemporary history, technology and children.
Is the museum barrier-free?
Yes. Ramps around the Mercedes-Benz Museum facilitate access for wheelchair users. The exhibition’s Legend rooms are also equipped with DIN-standard ramps with intermediate platforms and handrails at wheelchair height. Throughout the exhibition there are satellite lifts serving all levels. For more information please follow this link.
Wheelchairs and baby carriages
Can visitors touch / sit in the vehicles?
No, we regret that touching the vehicles is not allowed.
There are exceptions, however, e.g. guided tours for the blind, during which blind visitors are permitted to touch vehicles under supervision from a guide.
Visitors are permitted to enter the following vehicles: refuse truck, World Cup coach.
Are children under the age of 14 allowed to enter the museum without a guardian?
No. Children and adolescents before the age of 14, must be accompanied by a legal guardian or equivalent supervisor.
For insurance reasons, neither a written nor a telephone permission of the parent or guardian allows access to the exhibition.
General photography in the museum
Taking photographs and video film in the exhibition is permitted for private use.
Please ask at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Customer Center about photography or filming for commercial use.
Recreational vehicle / Caravan parking
The parking garage does not provide parking spaces for RVs / caravans. Guests with large mobile homes have the opportunity to park in the NeckarPark (P9) car park. Please follow the signs on site.
Cloakroom & Locker
You are welcome to leave your jackets, coats, backpacks and suitcasesin the cloakroom. The cloakroom and lockers are free of charge.
Test Drives
The museum does not offer test drives. Please contact a Mercedes-Benz branch in this regard.
Animals
Guide dogs and assistance dogs have access to the exhibition rooms and the entrance area. In addition, dogs weighing up to 10 kilos can be taken into the exhibition in a special dog bag or dog backpack.
