You should be at least in the 4th semester of a Bachelor’s degree with a commercial, technical or scientific focus and have completed an internship in the field of consulting or in the automotive industry. You bring with you a high abstraction ability for complex topics and think in a solution-oriented way. Over and above this we expect team skills, flexibility and resilience, fluent German and English plus excellent communication and presentation skills when speaking to decision makers.


The Mercedes-Benz Inhouse Consulting team advises all specialist departments on strategic corporate issues with a focus on product development, production and sales. You support the consulting team in project work, coordinating with the authorising specialist department. In so doing you are integrated as a full member of the team and support them in optimisation possibilities in the business system. You prepare solutions, concepts, methods and new tools for increasing strategic competitiveness in close cooperation with the consulting teams.

A successfully completed internship opens up the opportunity for you to join Mercedes-Benz Inhouse Consulting as a Junior Consultant.

Application process.

First of all submit your written application via the Daimler job portal. Should you meet the selection criteria, an initial telephone interview will follow. Following on from that you will be invited to the selection day for applicants, during which Inhouse Consulting will introduce itself in more detail. On this day you have a total of three face-to-face conversations with our Consultants and Inhouse Consulting management. During the conversations you process two case studies, in order to convince us of your strategic and conceptual abilities. A PDF document with an example case is available here for downloading.
