Return deliveries are expensive – Otto wants to reduce them. To achieve this, an algorithm is used, which was developed by startup [link url=https://www.blue-yonder.com/de target=_blank] Blue Yonder[/link] for [link url=https://home.cern/about target=_blank] CERN[/link]. Two hundred variables and 3 billion past orders are analyzed to predict what customer will buy in the following month. These prognoses have an accuracy of 90 %.
