She’s Mercedes was part of the 32nd South by Southwest® (SXSW), a digital conference in festival format, which took place in Austin, Texas, from March 9th–18th.
On the plane to this year’s SXSW convention, She’s Mercedes already kicked off the first event. On March 8th, International Women’s Day, Kerstin Heiligenstetter, head of She’s Mercedes, prepared the travelling party on the flight for the digital conference during Lufthansa’s FlyingLab event. Amongst other inspiring speakers, like Yeay CEO Melanie Mohr or musician Lizzy Berlin, Kerstin Heiligenstetter gave a talk in which she addressed the theme of mobility with references to the female pursuit of freedom and the crossing of boundaries.
At the festival, She’s Mercedes hosted a networking dinner with 73 successful and inspiring women at Emmer & Rye, one of the premier addresses in Austin. Apart from the nice meal, the evening offered a platform for debating: with a panel discussion about female empowerment and leadership, renowned US journalist Kara Swisher and Tina Tchen, partner at Buckley & Sander, encouraged the guests to share experiences.
Furthermore, She’s Mercedes organised an event together with streaming service TIDAL, the new cooperation partner to Mercedes-Benz. The historic ambience of the exclusive artist lounge provided a perfect setting for a unique evening with rising musician Alina Baraz and other upcoming artists and DJs.
