The past few months have given women a long-awaited sense of hope, as shown by the increasing number of empowering initiatives and women in leadership roles – even in male-dominated industries. Networks like “Women Who Code” and “Women in Engineering” are already at work recruiting the next generation of women in these fields, proving that we’re experiencing the emergence of a new, powerful drive to cooperate.
Women are in the process of effecting radical social change; they are doing this boldly, confidently and in solidarity. We are also witnessing the dawning of a new era for women, as even Li Edelkoort, one of the most important trend forecasters of our time, recently affirmed. We would therefore like to dedicate this issue to all of the women who are helping to usher in this new era. “For women who choose to lead” – this is the credo of the new She’s Mercedes magazine.
