“You can say it is a dream or pure passion, but in my opinion motorsport means more than that to me.”

3 questions to Robert Wickens

1. Why did you choose the number 6 as your race number?

I chose my number because in karting I was always 66 as well as in Formula BMW. There is no story behind it; it was simply the number that was already on the first kart when we bought it. Then when I won the Formula Renault 3.5 championship in 2011, I was running number 6. I figure that hopefully 6s are lucky for me and I can have more success with it in the future!

2. Have you had to give up any favourite dish since you became a racing driver?

I haven't had to give up any dish for good. I love pizza but unfortunately it doesn't help you lose weight. So i can't eat it as often as I'd like to. Thankfully I do not really like chocolate or sweets so it isn't too hard to stop eating those.

3. What would you do, if you were not a racing driver?

I never thought about another carreer. Failure was not an option!
