Marked by big achievements.

For Max Herre, the last few years have been marked by big achievements. His last solo album “Hallo Welt” from 2012 went gold, and the single “Wolke 7”, a duet with Philipp Poisel, was a top 10 hit. In December 2013, he released an album with the MTV Unplugged series, the third German hip hop act to do so after Die Fantastischen Vier and Sido. The MTV Unplugged concert was a sensation. It was recorded with his 17-person KAHEDI RADIO ORCHESTRA and several guests, including Joy Denalane, Gregory Porter, Sophie Hunger, Gentleman, Samy Deluxe, Patrice, Afrob or Megaloh, in the heritage site Funkhaus Berlin Nalepastraße. The album went platinum, winning a German Echo music award. In the summer of 2014, Max Herre brought this Unplugged show to open-air stages. Nearly 100,000 fans attended these concerts, where Max Herre presented a retrospective of his over 20-year music career. Due to unyielding demand, he put on another eight open-air shows in 2015.

Two years later, Max Herre, whose career began as the frontman for legendary hip hop collective “Freundeskreis”, stood with his former bandmates DJ Friction and Don Philippe on stage to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut hit “Quadratur des Kreises”.

The feedback on their first performances in ten years was overwhelming. Big open-air venues like Tanzbrunnen in Cologne were sold out in no time. In their home town of Stuttgart, they played two sold-out nights to a total of 14,000 euphoric fans. After an amazing, sold-out Concert Summer 2017, Freundeskreis put on ten more very successful open-air shows in the summer of 2018.

The coming year will be dominated by Max Herre’s long-awaited new solo album and the accompanying tour.
