Up to ten children and young people aged from 11 to 18 can take part in each weekend course. In the Mercedes-Benz Museum campus, over the course of two five-hour sessions, the participants dive into the world of bits and bytes and learn to programme – without any prior knowledge or good grades in maths and physics. The following dates are available to choose from: 11/12 May, 29/30 June and 20/21 July 2019. Each course costs 30 euros per person, plus advance booking fee.
The Hacker School is a nationwide project of the non-profit organisation i3 e.V. based in Hamburg. Professional software developers, so-called inspirers, volunteer to pass on knowledge and experience. They do this in order to inspire children and young people for their specialism and to find the next generation for the MINT world (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences, engineering).
