  • Night at the Mercedes-Benz Museum.

  • Sleepless among stars.

Why book a hotel when you can also spend the night at the Mercedes-Benz Museum – with a free place to sleep thrown in? This dream came true for auto bloggers and fans of Mercedes-Benz in early February 2015 in the form of the “Night at the Museum – Part II” event series in the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. The social media team of Mercedes-Benz as well as numerous fans and bloggers had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take photos of the exhibits of the Mercedes-Benz Museum at night without interference and to talk to others during the event. The surprise guest that night was DTM junior driver Maximilian Goetz.

    Automotive dreams in the flesh.

The entertaining night at the museum made automotive dreams come true: the highlights of the event included photo sessions with the off-road legend G 63 AMG 6×6 and the SLR McLaren Stirling Moss super sports car outside the Mercedes-Benz Museum. An exclusive guided tour of the museum and an interview session with Mercedes-Benz DTM driver Maximilian Goetz, who will start in his first DTM season in 2015, also awaited the participants.

The places the participants slept were equally as unique as the event: the overnight accommodation options included a Mercedes-Benz TopFit truck, two Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks and a Marco Polo V-Class parked next to the museum building. Another special place to sleep in a futuristic setting was provided by Hofmeister Wohnzentrum Company. A competition in the form of a “like battle” was then held for the first time on the Instagram photo platform: every participant had the opportunity to submit his best photo of the evening.
