    Amid the vogueish stir of runways and ready-to-wear, the youthful and creative world of German fashion design descended on Paris Fashion Week for Der Berliner Mode Salon. Set to a backdrop of the Palais Beauharnais, a melting pot of German talent including Lala Berlin, Julia Zimmermann and Uncommon Matters gathered at a Cocktail Dînatoire hosted by chief editor of Vogue Germany, Christiane Arp and Marcus Kurz, managing director of the creative agency Nowadays.

    Offering a glimpse into an immerging design scene that has liking for understatement and minimalism, mixed with a taste for the avant-garde, three of the shortlisted young creators were invited by Mercedes-Benz to document their Paris-to-Germany journey via social media – the power trio of Anna Bornhold, Annelie Schubert and Christina Braun loaded their camera rolls with Eiffel Tower sunsets and backseat selfies, finishing with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the event.

    Mixing with the talented German design minds of the future included influential fashion powerhouses Karl Lagerfeld and Suzy Menkes, along with Lindsey Wixson and Isabeli Fontana setting a model example.
