“Celebrating 50 Years of Driving Performance”.

For a spectacular headline show on their “One More Light” World Tour, rock band Linkin Park will be performing at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin on June 12, 2017. In support of their seventh studio album, “One More Light”, the band and Mercedes-AMG will be honouring the anniversary of the sports car and performance brand from Affalterbach under the motto “Celebrating 50 Years of Driving Performance”. The concert is another milestone in the partnership between the band of motoring enthusiasts and Mercedes-AMG. Since 2015, the band and brand have shared their passion for top performance and perfection, both on the road and on-stage.

“Our brand has stood for Performance, Perfection and Passion for 50 years, and that’s also what Linkin Park stands for on the stages of the world. In our 50th anniversary year, we intend to not only celebrate, but also to continue working successfully on the performance of the future,” says Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Executive Board at Mercedes-AMG. Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park, adds: “Performance is in our blood, and with Mercedes-AMG we have found the perfect partner for our passion.” Together Linkin Park and Mercedes-AMG will continue to strive creatively and excite fans around the world with new ideas and projects.


Two Stages – One Passion: Cooperation with Linkin Park.

The joint activities this anniversary year also include the Mercedes-AMG 50 Years campaign, with Linkin Park playing a prominent role. Mercedes-AMG will also sponsor the band’s tour across Asia again. The partners have already collaborated on a number of projects, including a “Secret Live Performance” at the Mercedes me Store in Hamburg, and the presentation of a Mercedes-AMG GT3 designed by Linkin Park DJ, creative artist and film director Joe Hahn at the 24‑hour race in Spa-Francochamps. In 2016, the musicians were also given a professional driving skill upgrade during winter training at the AMG Driving Academy in Arjeplog, Sweden.


50 years of Mercedes-AMG.

The company founded by Hans-Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher in 1967 is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2017. Today, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, the Affalterbach-based company represents the sporting spearhead of the Group. For each of the now around 1,600 employees, the focus will be on the brand promise of “Driving Performance” which unites the core strengths of AMG: cutting-edge technology and a passion for dynamic, emotionally appealing products. The basis for this is the phenomenal engine technology of Mercedes-AMG. And the company from Affalterbach has lastingly underpinned its high development capabilities with the two in-house designed sports cars, the SLS AMG and the AMG GT.
