Peak performance through the Alps.

The legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL went into production in 1954.

A soft spot for the “red lady”.

It’s 60 years now since the road-going version of the W 194 racing sports car was presented in New York. Ex-racing driver Daniel Müller undertakes a spectacular trip through the Swiss Alps, demonstrating that under the highly sought-after lines of a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing beats the heart of a super sports car. From Lake Geneva up into the Bernese Oberland, Müller’s “red lady” demonstrates the superb handling of the W 198 series in a friendly race with the trains of the GoldenPass Line.
