DTM: Estoril Test - Day One.
On Wednesday, the Mercedes-AMG DTM team embarked on the official DTM test week at the Circuito do Estoril in Portugal. On the first of three days of testing, the four Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM cockpits were occupied by DTM rookies Lucas Auer and Maximilian Götz and by Paul Di Resta and Pascal Wehrlein. Paul Di Resta was the fastest of the four Mercedes-AMG drivers with a lap time of 1:33.202 minutes. Over the full session, the quartet completed 356 laps (equivalent to 1,489 kilometres) on the former Formula 1 circuit in Portugal.
The team will continue testing on Thursday at Estoril. Behind the wheel on the second day will be Lucas Auer, Maximilian Götz, Christian Vietoris and Robert Wickens.
Paul Di Resta: “That was a productive day for us, though the wind made things very difficult. I’m only testing on one of the days this week, so we tried to get through as much of our programme as possible. We still have a job on our hands to optimise the car. I’m curious to see what happens.”
