My move up to the DTM series is like a dream come true.
The sixth DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé will be driven by the 18-year-old German Pascal Wehrlein in the coming series. The reigning runner-up from the Formula 3 Euro Series will be Daniel Juncadella’s team mate at RSC Mücke Motorsport. Wehrlein is already familiar with Mercedes vehicles, having driven a Dallara-Mercedes from the Berlin racing team during his time in Formula 3. Fostering motorsport talent is somewhat of a tradition at Mercedes-Benz. Wehrlein is a promising new talent and fits in extremely well with the DTM driver philosophy. Before moving up to Formula 3, he won the 2011 season of the ADAC Formula Masters. “My move up to the DTM series is like a dream come true. I can hardly wait to get together with the Berlin team to fine-tune my new DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé in readiness for the season start in Hockenheim.” Just 18 years and 188 days old by the time the season starts in Hockenheim on Sunday 5 May 2013, Pascal Wehrlein will be the youngest driver in the history of the DTM.
