The world champions were expected at the victory celebration in Berlin, Tuesday at Nine o’clock, which began with a truck parade at Brandenburg Gate. A trailer specially constructed for this event was towed by a 460 kW (625 hp) Mercedes-Benz Actros 1863 LS with a GigaSpace driver’s cab and obsidian black metallic paintwork. The SoloStar concept with a “living area” on the passenger side provides maximum comfort and the bi-xenon headlights deliver optimum visibility. The Euro VI tractor unit is equipped with all of the available safety systems such as the Active Brake Assist 3 emergency brake assistant, the distance-keeping cruise control and attention assistant. As with the three previous championship titles, hundreds of thousands of people thronged through the streets to give the team a worthy welcome.
