Golf legend Bernhard Langer and the 100.
One of the best athletes in the world.
100 wins as a professional golfer. Two-time Masters winner. Six major titles on the PGA Champions Tour. Sevenfold Ryder Cup champion, one of which as captain. First World Number One. Member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Lifetime Achievement Award of the PGAs of Europe. Support of the German Federal Cross of Merit. Honorary Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. This list could continue indefinitely. But it is clear: Bernhard Langer is one of the best athletes in the world. For nearly 40 years the Mercedes-Benz Brand Ambassador has been playing golf at the highest level.
To call him a living legend is certainly not an exaggeration and more than a deserving title. And the end is not even in sight yet.
A milestone and a special record.
With his victory at the Regions Tradition on 22 May, Bernhard Langer won his sixth major title on the PGA Champions Tour – six strokes in the lead. This victory was also the 100th win of his career. A milestone very few golfers experience. To mark this very special record, Bernhard Langer is particularly keen to thank his many fans: “Unbelievably many congratulatory statements from golf fans from around the world, but especially from my homeland Germany, have reached me. At this point I would like to acknowledge the continued support of my fans who have actively supported me for many years. Thank you very much!” – Dear Bernhard, we have to thank you!
