The Open 2015.
Genuine passion for golf.
Kaymer says about The Open: “We will be playing one of the biggest tournaments in the world on my favourite golf course. The Open has always been the one I want to win the most – it is the most important tournament for me. You really have to play the game. The Old Course still has that feeling of being untouched. It can play in so many different ways, so you have to be creative around there. I love standing on that first tee and hitting a two-iron down the first fairway, and I love how the 18th brings you back into the town. There is a special atmosphere when you walk around. It is such a pure and natural place to be, and there is so much genuine respect and passion for golf”.
Style and comfort throughout the tournament.
Elsewhere, Mercedes-Benz national brand ambassadors Rickie Fowler and Marcel Siem will both be aiming to record their first Major win on the famous links. Off the course, Mercedes-Benz will provide more than 100 vehicles for players, caddies, Patrons, Coaches and Officials to use during the week. The fleet includes luxury C-Class, E-Class and S-Class models to ensure guests travel in style and comfort throughout the tournament. The new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé will be on display at the Mercedes-Benz Exhibition Centre located in the tented village, where spectators will able to see the model first hand ahead of its UK launch.
The GLE Coupé will also be used for the Return of the Claret Jug ceremony on Monday 13 July, when Champion Golfer of the Year Rory McIlroy hands back the famous trophy to R&A Chief Executive Peter Dawson.
