    The new B-Class.

    International Corporate Sales

The sports tourer reinterpreted.

Mercedes-Benz has added a new dynamism to the B-Class. More sporty than its predecessor, it is more agile, offers more comfort and has been given a completely revised, avantgarde interior. Like the new A-Class, the sports tourer comes with the intuitively controllable user interface MBUX. The learn-capable Mercedes-Benz User Experience is a multimedia and vehicle control system in one. The mixture of dynamic performance, travelling comfort and the latest technology makes the B-Class the perfect, modern compact car for those who want to get things done. It has been possible to order the new B-Class for your fleet since December 2018, and deliveries will commence in February 2019.

Clean and efficient: engine variants with a debut.

New generation, new engine variant – the drive technology of the B-Class is now more efficient and environmentally friendly, and includes a debut: thanks to extended exhaust aftertreatment, the OM 654q diesel engine makes this the first Mercedes-Benz compact model to be certified according to the Euro 6d standard coming into force for new models from 01.01.2020. Despite its smaller displacement and lower weight, the diesel engine with 140 kW (190 PS) delivers 10 kW more than its predecessor. As well as the diesel engines, the two four-cylinder petrol engines are equipped with particulate filters. The B-Class is initially available in four engine variants, of which two feature another debut: the dual clutch transmission with eight gears. This is included in models with the two largest diesel engines.

Driving assistance at luxury class level.

The new B-Class comes with driving assistance systems with cooperative driver support, thus providing one of the highest levels of active safety in this segment with functions from the S‑Class. For the first time, the B-Class is able to drive semi-autonomously in certain situations. To do so, it employs improved camera and radar systems to anticipate the traffic up to 500 metres ahead while using map and navigation data for assistance functions. For example, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC as part of the Driving Assistance package is able to support the driver in many route-specific situations, anticipatorily and conveniently adjusting the speed, e.g. when approaching bends, junctions or roundabouts. Also on board are Active Emergency Stop Assist and intuitively understandable Active Lane Change Assist.

MBUX: organised, time-saving and safe.

MBUX gives the drivers in your fleet a unique level of support. Thanks to the LINGUATRONIC voice control which responds to “Hey Mercedes”, they are able to operate functions such as the air conditioning, radio, diary, message writing and navigation by voice commands, leaving their hands free for driving. Via Mercedes me connect, MBUX also accesses services such as car-to-X communication. This gives your drivers navigation options based on real-time information, car park suggestions and the ability to locate the vehicle by smartphone – saving both time and stress. Furthermore, the car can be easily shared with colleagues by using the car sharing function of the Mercedes me App.

Both inside and out: design for a new generation.

The new B-Class has an emotive and purist look with dynamic proportions: large wheels, a slightly declined roofline, muscular shoulders and flat headlamps create a sporty overall impression. Also available on request is the striking look of MULTIBEAM LED headlamps, which automatically adapt to the current traffic situation. In the interior the B-Class offers a greater sense of spaciousness than its predecessor, and good all-round visibility. The display screen unit can be varied from two high-resolution 7-inch displays to a widescreen version and the addition of a head-up display. Comfort is ensured by ambience lighting in 64 colours as standard, optional multicontour seats with massage function, seat climatisation or ENERGIZING seat kinetics for reduced back stress.
