“With a workforce of 90, 37 commercial vehicles and a 4,000 square-metre warehouse, Rudolph Trucking & Handling operates as a service provider for various industrial enterprises in Baden-Württemberg and for air freight forwarding agents and airlines at the airports in Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Munich. We are specialised in inter-airport road cargo trucking. Our trucks are sometimes even allocated their own flight numbers. When necessary, certified service providers like us can transport goods directly from the producer to the aircraft.
Anyone who knows how tightly scheduled air freight processes are will appreciate that we must be able to rely 100 percent on the reliability and safety of our trucks. Although we operate in a niche, the economic pressure is great and high ecological standards have to be observed.”

“We are a 19-strong family business and have been in operation as a service provider in the fields of demolition, recycling and waste disposal since 1972. We also trade in building materials, which we process ourselves at our 45,000 square-metre recycling yard using a mobile Pegson crusher including air separator and Powerscreen sieving plant. Apart from the crusher, our range of vehicles and machining equipment comprises four hydraulic chain excavators, one rehandling excavator, one wheel loader, several mobile water guns to reduce dust levels, four Sprinters to transport demolition teams and tools and, as the most recent additions, three heavy-duty construction site vehicles – two Arocs 2645 6×4 hook-type roll-off trucks and an Arocs Grounder 3345 6×4 S semitrailer tractor, which we also use to transport heavy equipment to our construction sites.”

“The defining feature of the Grabowski company is high quality: we cover a broad scope of operations, are flexible and have plenty of clout when it’s needed. Ecological issues are very important to us: we operate strictly according to the German Closed Substance Cycle and Waste Management Act, we are certified as a specialist enterprise for waste disposal and we were keen to get hold of Euro VI vehicles quickly.
A further crucial consideration is that the demolition sector may be assumed to impose the very highest requirements of all with regard to the robustness of trucks and machinery. That is another reason why we opted for the Arocs. The drivers additionally praise the good performance of Mercedes PowerShift 3 and the engines.”

“AL-Logistik is the commercial arm of the Früchte Jork company from Isny in Bavaria’s Allgäu region. We have been supplying supermarkets and catering establishments in the region with fruit, vegetables and numerous other products for 60 years now. Früchte Jork now operates as a fast and flexible full-range supplier. We are also able to supply our customers numbering over 1,000 with noodles, meat, serviettes or detergents, for example.

“Our city logistics activities also help to keep our fleet operations profitable, but the main contributory factor is the quality and economy of the vehicles. High requirements are imposed on our trucks – the winter in Allgäu is long and severe. Our drivers make deliveries to between 30 and 40 unloading locations every day – often at night, to ensure that fresh produce is available in the morning.
We see the new Antos as just the type of compact heavy-duty distribution truck that has been lacking in this segment up to now. The concept fits the bill: the drivers are satisfied with the handling and comfort, and we achieve fuel consumption levels almost on a par with the Atego.”

“The Greif group is specialised in laundry hire for hotels and restaurants in Germany and Austria. The spectrum covers bed linen, towels and table linen as well as work clothing. Our customers also include offices, tradespeople and property owners. The textiles are washed here and returned to the customers – from entire truck loads to mini batches in the order of three aprons, ten tablecloths and two floormats. At our plant in Augsburg alone, we wash 100 tons of textiles a day. Our customers buy a no-worries all-inclusive package. The reliability of our delivery vehicles is thus crucial. And should anything ever go amiss, the service must be top-notch.”

“Mercedes came up trumps on both fronts in the past with the Atego. The resale value has also always been good. Our drivers spend a lot of their time driving through dense urban traffic. The new Atego, which we have been testing for a couple of weeks and which already complies with Euro VI, sets a shining example on the road.
Many trips involve over 30 unloading points a day. The new Atego’s good ergonomics, its Mercedes PowerShift 3 automatic gearshift system and the reversing camera are an absolute boon to the drivers in their daily work!”
