The Pole2Pole expedition took Mike Horn from Africa via Antarctica to Australia, New Zealand and the Arctic. On his way, he drove across both Poles. In order to cover the distances through the spectacular nature, the extreme athlete mainly relied on his sailing ship Pangea and his two G-Classes.
The goal of his expedition was to be the first to circumnavigate the world vertically in a single voyage of discovery. With the intention of sharing his experiences and adventures with people all over the world, the adventurer explored culture and nature in regions that had hardly been explored at all.
When it’s so cold that even the display of the cell phone freezes, Mike navigates via compass, the polar star and by measuring the direction of the wind. Extreme experiences do not deter him but challenge him even more – such as nights in complete darkness surrounded by polar bears: these are experiences that will shape him forever.
