A DTM driver is exposed to extreme physical demands during a race. The inside of the vehicle can heat up to 60 degree Celsius and the driver’s body has to withstand enormous g-forces. So how do the drivers prepare themselves for these physical demands? Daniel Juncadella, Mercedes-AMG DTM driver, has discovered his own method. He explains that triathlon training has massively increased his performance and stamina. This helps him to stay focussed in any situation. Daniel is happy that the pro triathletes gave him such a warm welcome at the first shared training camp on Majorca. He immediately felt part of the team. In turn, this experience also made Horst Reichel curious. With the V-Class he sets out to visit the DTM drivers at their fitness camp and gains some surprising insights for his own training.
